December 3, 2016: Hearing Where the End Starts at the Modern

On Saturday December 3 at 2 pm, Sounds Modern will present music to celebrate the art of KAWS, in conjunction with the Modern’s survey of his work Where the End Starts. Like KAWS’ works, the music on the concert will be inspired by graffiti, cartoons, technology, and popular culture. The program will include John Zorn’s Cobra along with works by Zack Browning, Eric Lyon, Mark Applebaum, and Charles Dodge. Sarah Alexander, Toshiro Chun, Kyle Downs, Steven Heffner, Joseph Klein, Stephen Lucas, Andrew May, Elizabeth McNutt, Paul Slavens, John Sturino, Tyler Waters, and Shannon Wettstein will perform. Admission is free and open to the public (museum admission is separate).
