In House Taken Over, Sounds Modern will celebrate Misty Keasler’s exhibition Haunt with a concert of music inspired by haunted houses, invisible presences, and the spirit world. The 2 pm event on September 23 in the Auditorium of the Modern will include works by Jim Harley, Andrew May, Pauline Oliveros, Jeffrey Stadelman, Pang Vontaradon, and Ethan Wickman, and will feature performances by Daphne Capparelli Gerling (viola), Heidi Klein (soprano), Joseph Klein (conductor, percussion), Kim Luevano (clarinet), Colton Lytle (percussion), Andrew May (violin, electronics), Elizabeth McNutt (flute), Kourtney Newton (cello), and Éva Polgár (piano). Admission is free and open to the public (museum admission is separate).
