Sounds Modern takes a Walk on the Wild Side to celebrate the work of David Bates. Bates is a passionate outdoorsman and fisherman, and much of his work has been inspired by nature; our concert will complement his work with recent music that reflects the natural world and its effects on our awareness of sound. The program will feature Eleven Echoes of Autumn by American master George Crumb. Performers will include flutist Elizabeth McNutt, pianist Shannon Wettstein, violinist Andrew May, and clarinetist Rachel Yoder. Admission free and open to the public (museum admission is separate).
